Monday was the First Day of Spring

So here is Diane and Rick with some Flower crowns ❤️

Rick made it to the top as he met her eyes. Diane immediately noticed the bruising on Rick's eye, and busted lip. 

"Rick what happened?" She said gently touching his face.

"Eh, you should see the other guy."

"Did this happen at Mike's?!"

"Yeah."

"How?"

"Di, can I come in first? I'm literally dangling off the side of your house right now."

So how do we get you ungrounded?"

She heard Rick ask behind her. Diane turned to see him.

"I date Jacob."

"Ok another idea," Rick said taking her cheer bag.

"You stay away from me," Rick laughed, offering his arm. "Definitely not. I guess I'll just need to charm your mother."

Diane smiled at his reply, grabbing his bicep.

"Want to do something fun before class?" He asked playfully.

"Like what?"

Rick peaked out a baggy of joints from his pocket.

"We'll be late, Rick."

"Not if we have these," he showed her a few late passes.

"Where did you get those?"

"The office," he smiled.

"Did you take them?"

Diane's plan worked. She watched Rick's father leave, closing the door.

Diane turned to Rick who was back at his work bench. 

"My father is so fucking annoying," Rick said as Diane stood next to him. "A real job? Like what dad? Sucking off my boss to get the next raise?" Rick scoffed. "Plus I guarantee I made more money than he did in that last year."

Diane listened as Rick continued to angrily vent. 

There was a silence.

 "Your parents don't seem to get you. I don't under how they possibly think anything you do is boring," Diane finally said.

"They did at one point, then my intelligence surpassed them. They got bored because they couldn't understand me, well didn't take the time too. Then other priorities took over, for them." Rick was starting to put things away. 

Diane began to unbutton the lab coat, Rick slipped behind her helping her take it off. Diane's cheeks warmed up as she felt his hands help her. 

"I'm sorry, Rick."

"It's ok if they don't understand me, you do," he smiled. "I hope you had fun today."

This is a sneak peak scene for a future chapter but I had to draw it for the sake of Halloween!!

Diane decided it would be a fun idea to be a Lab Bunny for Halloween, as you can guess Rick really liked her costume choice!
