Hello all! Here we go with this week’s episode.

I think Chris’ unwelcome arrival to Edge of Extinction was amazing. Edge of Extinction is definitely on its way to developing its own game, and it’s own community. This third arrival turned Reem and Keith from survival mode back to game mode; they weren’t going to let him in so easy after he did them wrong back at camp. However, I think the perspective Chris took is more beneficial to the group— they don’t know where this island is going to take them, so he might as well go fishing and provide and try to mend broken bonds while he can. 

The tribe swap was horribly underwhelming. 5 Kama stay Kama, 5 Manu turn Lesu, and 4 Kama turn Manu with 1 original Manu: Wendy. 

I think the dynamic at the new Manu tribe is an absolute disaster. As it would be with Wendy, of course. We knew that winning chickens at a reward was problematic, and we knew from the last episode that Wendy was going to fight to keep these chickens alive. However, she just welcomed a whole new group of people back to this camp who were very excited to eat these chickens; letting them go into the wild is definitely not the best first impression to make on these people. I foresee original Kama staying strong and voting Wendy out, because it is the general consensus that she is going to continue to create havoc. 

I think Joe is in trouble on the new Kama tribe. He and Aurora are in the small minority against the main alliance, who has been gunning for Joe this entire game. They are all on the same page against him, and are playing him like a fiddle. The only way Joe is making it out of premerge is if they don’t lose a challenge. 

The poor Lesu tribe. Five strong allies from the original Manu, now had to turn on one another after losing the immunity challenge yet again. I think they were all great players, and would have proven a force to be reckoned with come merge time. However, the game will be the game, so someone had to get voted out, and that person was Rick. I was worried about Lauren not playing her idol, but she prevailed.
