I love visiting markets when I’m abroad, there is always that odd contradiction where it all seems the same but it’s all very different as well. Italy has such a rich culinary tradition and the markets there never disappoint as there’s always so much to see and taste. These pictures were taken at the Mercati di Rialto and the Pescaria in Venice. The local catch is labelled Nostrani and there was plenty of it.
