Courtesy of the ever fantastic Smuggler's Cove. I today got a bottle of Rhum J.M. Terroir Volcanique, and as a sucker for apricot, this was a natural choice, despite seeming like a very mismatched recipe.

2 oz aged rhum agricole (Rhum J.M. Terroir Volcanique)

.5 oz apricot brandy (Giffard Abricot Du Roussillon)

1 dash Angostura bitters

1 dash orange bitters (Regan's)

Stir over ice, strain, serve up.

The taste of this is absolutely fascinating. It's not the best drink I've ever had (although it's by no means bad), but it is one of the most novel. It's hard to put into words. The rhum's mineral smokiness and the sweet fruit of the apricot brandy are completely and totally distinct on the tongue... but the former somehow merges seamleasly into the latter. It's as baffling to taste as I'm sure that was to read. It serves as a very good demonstration of the unexpected tastes that fine cocktails can bring.
