any notable magical critters in Bloodmood to mention? notableness could be either because they appear in the story or because of personal preference :3 specifically asking for non-sapient magical creatures btw, so no vampires or fae or lyncahtropes. i'm talking flora and fauna that just happen to have magica properties
In the story we have Rhoomba the giant isopod - Toad (who is sentient so I won't put her on this list) has a few giant terrestrial isopods and they are all named things like Rhoomba, Dyson, Hoover, Vaccuum, etc. because they keep eating crumbs off her floor. Rhoomba is the only one named in text.

The story namedrops a lot of magical critters, such as lake monsters and fae dogs and three eyed ravens, but sadly not a lot of these appear in the actual story. Also, sadly, Harriet is not hugely into zoology so when the story follows her we just aren't getting the juicy wildlife details.
One day I may write a more animal themed story because I want to showcase more cool animals which are canon in the world (flying jellyfish are responsible for UFO sightings... this is something I may put in the sequel) (giant amphibian trolls too! they get a mention in Bloodmood but not in any detail) but my protagonist just isn't in the cryptozoology department and her research focus is the undead
Rhoomba is a kangaroo with a pouch that has a mind of its own, and if it opens anything or anyone in range is getting sucked in.
I hit a wall and I bounce back. I reach a ledge and I turn, guided away by my senses. I carry cats around on my back. I suck up the tiny grains of shit trod into your carpet.
