the most compelling rhollins to me is thinking of their wrestlemania 40 tag team as an arranged marriage joining together for the greater good of taking down the bloodline and crown jewel as the divorce and now they're exes who share this past, but the whole time they were together they were in love with other people (roman for seth, randy/punk/john for cody)
which makes their elimination chamber standoff so delicious... seth inadvertently helping cody by taking out the monster he created and the prolonged eye contact. visibly fighting himself... because he got injured right after crown jewel (where he betrayed cody via their wm40 watch to win). the fact that doing the "right thing" comes so hard to seth and so natural to cody is probably a great source of frustration. guy who never gets over a grudge vs guy who has loved everyone who betrayed him and would take them back
