My Vitamins & Supplement 👩🏾⚕️
I thought I would do a post on the vitamins and supplements I take.
Holistic health and nutrition is my passion and something I’ve been interested in for many years. The link between our gut health and brain health is key to unlocking health. Hi started my health journey around 6-7 years ago. It firstly started of as reducing my meat intake and then increasing vegetables, replacing dairy with non dairy mills and I eventually went full on plant based for 3 years.
Taking care of my body for the past few years and focusing on health and eating / supplementing for optimal bodily function has been amazing. The supplements I’ve posted I have been taking for 1-6 years and WORK.
Before commencing any new supplements I would always get blood tests done as the relationship between different minerals in our body require a careful balance.
I am heavy on the adaptogens because my career ( Nurse and Midwife) past 10 years required much from me, so I take adaptogens to help balance my adrenals and ensure I do not get burned out. Ashwaghanda, Ginseng, Rhodiola are some of the ingredients in my regime.
Vitamin D3/K2 is integral especially for black and brown skin ensuring that I get enough sunshine and supplementation has meant my Vitamin D levels have optimized. Taking it with K2 has meant that the calcium goes to the bones and does not get deposited in arteries which would cause a problem.
