As promised, a write up of the TV program God the Mother, viewable at the British Film Institute’s Mediatheque in London.

I managed to take a few photographs, though prohibited, as I felt it right that people were able to view parts.

Of note, the group refers to themselves here as Lux Madriana, rather than Rhennes. Though they do mention the rhennish language at least once. Many thanks to those who helped me work out what they were saying in rhennish or with their accents.

There is no mention or sight of men, despite them definitely being present in the Hebden Bridge group.

In the video we see most prominently Sister Angelina, better known by her later name Priscilla Langridge. Also present are Mary (Miss Martindale, Brighe DaColwyn), Sheila (Called Donna Rhiannon in the Book of Rhiannë) and Donna Chrysothemis (Maureen Evans).

Also interesting is the two children present - one almost a toddler, one very small.

The video as a whole provided some interesting insights on the interaction between feminism and religion in England in the early 80s, with a Christian group being interviewed about their views on masculine language in the Anglican liturgy.
