3. Do you prefer canonverse or AUs?
AUs which take place in the same universe as the canon (rather than, like, a modern AU or a thing like that, in which the world is totally changed) are often my favourite. Some elements being really wildly different from the canonverse as an exploration of characters ? Yes ? I love ? This is why I made a Beast Dimitri after all ??
I think the only exception to this is writing angst. Angst is generally canonverse. If I can make canonverse even worse by exploring some of its angst, it is even better.
6. What’s the last thing you read that made you laugh?
Interactions between Clara and Artemy in a rp with @risualto - the dynamic is just way too fun and Risu is a great writer, so a light hearted situation with teasing is really fun :D
(well, at least, it did make me do the weird breathing sound that is my equivalent of a laugh, and that counts !)
17. Describe a fic that is still in the ‘ideas’ stage.
Dimitri the Deathless, a canon-divergent AU Fraldarddyd fic inspired by Koschei the Deathless, in which Dimitri’s heart was removed by Cornelia and hidden. Felix learns about it toward the end of the war, after Fhirdiad was liberated, and it makes him feel as if this explains the extreme recklessness and the emptiness Dimitri shows, even after he accepted his role as King and tried to repent from his previous actions.Â
Accompanied by Flayn and Linhardt, Felix goes on a search for the hidden heart. When they get the egg back, Seteth points them in the direction of Rhea so they can help Dimitri (who is coming this time) get back his heart instead of risking destroying it.
Ends up with a lot of caring for Dimitri as he gets really crashed physically with the weight of his heart, some shades of crying Felix, and Rhea kinda awkwardly patting them on the head (but happy she could help)
