Two Birds - Tully On Tully.

I first came across this Melbourne band when they collaborated with Hayden Calnin some time ago, but this song totally grabbed me. The lament-tinged vocals mixing perfectly with the synth and guitar got my attention, but it's the way they mix with the impassioned drumbeat in the climax that sealed the deal for me.

The Kids Are Alright - Walla.

For upbeat, indie-pop, you'll struggle to find much better this month than Walla's latest offering. The echoed vocals and ringing keys of the intro promise a certain intensity and the rest of the song continues to deliver on this promise, culminating in a lively chorus you'll still be playing over in your head long after the final chord.
