Kai didn’t know where to go or who he could turn to. He just knew he couldn’t be alone. Not after everything. He didn’t trust himself, and he was visibly a wreck as much on the outside as he was inside.  Rhae wasn’t home when he first approached her place, so instead he sat by the door waiting. Knees pulled to his chest, he tried to keep his more morbid thoughts at bay. Everything had spiraled out of hand before he could do a damn thing to stop it, and he wasn’t sure what was up or down anymore. Nothing made sense. He only lifted his head when he finally heard her footsteps, his eyes all but pleading. “Can I stay here tonight?”
