this is perhaps silly of me to say. but seeing you post that 20k fic was so inspiring π i have a long-form eddie fic that iβve poured my soul into since october, but iβve been unable to finish. to know that iβm not alone in these writing struggles, especially within my own community (the eddie community), is very comforting. to see you persevere despite the unplanned timeline, despite personal challenges β and to do so in such an incredible and artful way β makes me feel a little less alone. thank you for sharing your work, and your journey.

I'll be honest, when it comes to writing I don't have the greatest track record of being consistent. I'd say ten years ago, I used to be a writing demon, I would have writing sessions with friends and we'd just exchange stuff and it was the BEST. Those days....are gone lmao So, when it came to fics, I would have a graveyard of WIPs that would not see the light of day. I don't have the stamina I used to, but, I can honestly say I really enjoy my writing today? It's not as fast, not as quick, and for those that post on the weekly, never mind DAILY the fics I love, I am in complete awe of ya'll, but, and it sounds cliche, everyone is SO different! And you know, that's GOOD. Life would be boring if we were all the same, you know?
Honestly, I think what helped me was just 1) having friends I would talk to about it that encouraged me with a simple, "I can't wait to read it!" or posting samples that would get likes and such, because in my heart, I am a whore for attention and positive feedback, I am not ashamed to say that. 2) Being the most stubborn son of a bitch there is. Like, I could have given up, but then I would see the words that kept going and being like, "No, I've written this much, I'm gonna finish and POST this shit and make it WORTH the time I put into it." That helped, the urge to put down my words even if no one would be interested, because damn it, I'm doing the thing. I'm gonna do the thing. And if for no one else, then for myself π€ Being stubborn helps.
Your fic so far sounds amazing and I'd love to see it! Since October?? Just be stubborn and work at it at your own pace. Granted, I kinda had enough of Rain fic and was like, poured myself into it the day before I posted lmao But, you know, slow and steady wins the race and helps our sanity and is just as valid as any other speed. Do you the best you can, it's all anyone of us can do. I'm so flattered my little mountain of smut of a one-shot affected you as such, like it warms my heart, you no idea. Hope to see your writing! Thank you so much.

I keep thinking about this question and I have to say, I'm going to go with Harley Quinn! There's a lot going on in there. I don't think I would ever get bored.
