Adjusting to life away from the island had been very difficult. Annalisa had spent more than a decade at Jurassic World. That park had been her life. Working in the lab and handling Cleopatra, that had been her calling, her purpose. She was living out her dreams. But it all fell apart after the I. rex attack. Now there was no park. And, worst of all, Anna had to leave Cleo behind.Â
Fortunately the woman had Lowery to help her through it all. With his help, and a little time, Anna learned to accept what had happened. At least she had saved Evita and now the Irritator was going to live a long life out in the country. Safe and free from the public gaze. Anna could move on. Now she had a teaching job at a big university and the two of them had settled down. They got married and were expecting a child of their own. A new life, one they built together.Â
But when Anna heard about the disaster awaiting Isla Nublar, her heart completely broke. The government refused to interfere because this was an âact of godâ. Those creatures werenât meant to be alive anyway, so they were just going to let them die. They were going to let Cleo die. Then Anna received a call from Claire. The woman had formed a rescue op and hoped Anna could help save the dinosaurs, including her beloved Cleo. But the woman was far too pregnant to take on such a dangerous task. And the thought of leaving her Spinosaurus there to die was destroying her.
Annalisa was bawling when Lowery got home. âClaire formed a team to extract the dinosaurs from the island. A plane leaves tomorrow morning. They could save Cleo! But I... I canât help them retrieve her! If anyone else tries to help her, sheâll attack them. They donât know how to handle her. They donât know how to keep her calm. Cleo has always been so territorial. Iâm so scared they wonât be able to save her, Lowery, and that will be my fault! I canât do a damn thing to help save her!â She gestured towards her massive stomach before her face fell in her hands. âI created her, I gave her life. How can I just sit here and watch her die? Sheâs my child, for heavens sake! They wonât be able to get close enough. And the only other person Cleo knows and trusts is you.â
