2 - What will his relationship with Toshinori be like? Will Toshinori treat Izuku like a son?

My day is going well, at the time of answering this ask (Jan 30th, 2026) I'm currently watching Jujutsu Kaisen for the first time.

As for your questions! ->

At the moment, my rewrite will be a fanfic! I'm still outlining my rewrite so it will take a hot minute before chapters will start coming out. Hopefully the pre-fic Tidbits posts are enough to tie you and anyone else until the fic comes out :]

1 - As for concept art of rewrite!Izuku. This post is a series of concept headshot designs through out the timeline of my rewrite. However, I have somewhat tweaked his headshot design since then.

Have an addition doodle of a possible junior high design for him as well. (Don't worry, he'll get to wear UA's male uniform). I just don't think Izuku in junior high would have the confidence to ask to switch to the Aldera's male uniform when he realizes he's a guy.

2 - As for Izuku's relationship with Toshinori. Now, there's a hint of Toshinori and Izuku's relationship in this ask about Toshinori's characterization.

Also, yes, Toshinori will be treating Izuku as a son (but it does take a minute, only because he doesn't want to tread on any boundaries or make it seem like he's trying to replace the late Hisashi Midoriya when he learns that Izuku's bio dad is dead).

On the surface, Toshinori and Izuku have a very sweet mentor/mentee dynamic. And that is true when one looks deeper, but it also becomes clear that both Izuku & Toshinori have Flaws & both are in desperate need of therapy.

Izuku with his trust issues and self-esteem issues make it almost impossibly hard for him to open up to Toshinori. And Toshinori, a man with little-to-no sense of identity outside of being "All Might", has put a huge amount of pressure onto Izuku as his successor.
