No spare seats available. It was just typical, Jack thought, that despite the incomprehensible cost of the tuition fee, the college still couldn’t be assed to ensure every campus had adequate seating for the entire student population to eat lunch. Although, he observed as he spied a recently emptied seat opposite Carew and made a beeline, death glaring unfortunate freshmen out of the way, it could be a beneficial fault, when it came to furthering Jack’s favourite pastime: winding people up for absolutely no fucking reason. And as much as he knew little about Carew, besides the secret reveal, his gossiping tendencies had led him to a link with Noor. (And thus to the most recent conversation Jack had had with Noor, RE the chlamydia transmission he was just slightly proud to claim as his work.) “Hey,” he said with unwavering cheerfulness, dropping down into the seat opposite the other boy with a wide grin. “How’s Noor? Fit as ever?”
