Currently deep in revisions. I say this mantra to myself over and over as I work. It really helps to think about this part of the process in small increments. I find that when I try to think about the big picture, I get anxious and freeze up. This quote perfectly captures how I feel when I’m in the middle of a revision - like I am now. . . I worry that what I’ve written doesn’t make sense. That my book has become a thousand different puzzle pieces I can’t manage to put back together. . . What I’ve learned over the years is that this feeling of struggle, of needing to be brave, is perfectly normal.
