Hello! I was wondering if you could show me how you draw those four arms on Garmadon? I have trouble even thinking about it, and I wish I could draw him but I have no idea how to draw his four arms. Please help?
Bold of you to assume either of us know what we’re doing when we draw the garmadad, but I’ll try to explain how I do it.
uhhh so I suppose first you’ll want to draw the base/skeleton so let’s just
There! I usually give Garmadon a slightly longer torso to accomodate for the extra limbs. Now add some circles where a normal person’s arms would be, and then two similar shaped ones underneath.
Now I start to sketch out some arms, and Garm is an expressive boi so you can really do whatever.
(Pffff, who needs proportions and proper anatomy)
I usually don’t draw him with his arms by his sides, but if you need to do that, or just have them overlap in general, it always helps to map each pair out beforehand like so:
I’ve grabbed some pics I’ve done before and drawn on top what the sketch would’ve looked like, if that helps:
Hopefully this made sense, I’m not the best at explaining things ovo;;;
Remember that art is a process, and practice makes that progress! Don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t look how you wanted, there’s always next time, and you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished!
Have fun, and make our emperor proud with your offerings in his image!
