For reverse fic writer asks: 3. and 17. for The Magekiller's Bride! Aaaand 19. to push me over the line for Rookie?
3. What line or scene made you fall in love with my writing? OK so for Magekiller's Bride, I would say how you set up the juxtaposition of Lucanis and Illario SO perfectly in that first chapter. For Lucanis: "But his eyes, as they watched her own hands shake to place the matching ring on his, were far too intense to be anything but warning." And then Illario: "Rook startled as the man's piercing eyes were turned on her—blue as the sky she had been wed under not hours before." I was hooked from the opening line alone, but knew I was in for an absolute feast the further I read along!! You captured the gothic storytelling so well and I STILL randomly think about the ending from time to time! (I know you asked about Magekiller's Bride, but gosh I absolutely loved SIX for gold, especially the last line: "The price for Lucanis Dellamorte was always gold—but for her, he'd make an exception.") 17. Describe one of my fics using just emojis: 👰♀️👿🪽📝🪞🤰🍷🥘🗡️❤️🔥
19. Can I get a pep talk for writing my current WIP? Follow your heart!! I know it's hard to wrap everything up, especially when you have a set idea of how the ending/last chapters should go, but let it breathe if you need to! The readers who have stuck with Rookie from the beginning have enjoyed YOUR vision and how you've told Dora's story thus far. And of course the ending of Rookie doesn't have to be the end for Dora and Lucanis's adventures. And you know this already as you've literally written oneshots for them outside of Rookie! But worth the reminder you don't have to fit every little thing in the final homestretch 💜
