Song Review: Madison Cunningham - “Inventing the Wheel” (Vevo Session)
Madison Cunningham’s innovative guitar playing is the draw on her Vevo Session recording of “Inventing the Wheel.”
She covers the bass and lead and rhythm guitar parts simultaneously while singing the words to this track from Revealer (Deluxe Edition), which arrives May 5.
Impressive as all this is, the overall packaging of the song pales against the previously released studio version. And it’s little wonder why - Cunningham is too busy to get lost in the delivery and she instead seems stiff given all the hard work she puts in to her playing.
A word of advice: don’t judge “Inventing the Wheel” by this reinvention of “Wheel.”
