RETROEURO

It's time for some retro CC heavily influenced by the aesthetic of 60's, 70's and 80's Eastern Europe. 🏭

As some of you know, I live in Budapest, Hungary, which was part of the Eastern Bloc until 1989. This era was shaped by an entirely new social mindset. Mass producibility became the primary concern, influencing both architecture (panel blocs) and furniture design.

As a result, functionality, resource-efficiency and clean, simplified forms came into focus. 📐

The core belief was that design should serve society as a whole, not individual status or luxury. Architecture and furniture were expected to be useful, affordable, and reproducible, providing decent living conditions for as many people as possible. 🟫🟧🟩

Beauty was not rejected, but it was meant to emerge from function, logic, and efficiency rather than decoration. 🧩

These styles are still part of my reality, and although they’re becoming more popular, they’re also slowly fading into the past. I want to preserve them as much as I can, hence the RETROEURO Set. ⚙️
