May I interest you all in some doodles featuring my Retro and @sinfiction Sinister

OKAY I’LL ANSWER THIS LMAO (I was always going to, but I fall into the trap of, “I’ll answer this when I’m feeling better,” and WELL…)

This requires getting into my version of Retro’s backstory.

Pretty much the SECOND he got his powers, he started abusing them (he got them the same time Mark did). He put Todd through a wall, fragile human skull first. Publicly.

He very much enjoyed being the second strongest person on Earth, just behind his dad. He was an insufferable jackass about it. And a vicious sadist.

THEN THE VILTRUMITES CAME, and he went from “second strongest person” to “weakest viltrumite”. (Part of the reason he’s SUCH a sadist is because he likes to assert his power over others. The weakest viltrumite is still A VILTRUMITE)

Angstrom promised him a universe with no viltrumites, where he could be the strongest.

NOW, he’s trapped in the main universe with a bunch of versions of HIMSELF, and he is the weakest one.

He takes special exception to Mark specifically because this is Mark’s universe, and the other variants mostly consider Mark “The Golden Boy” (even Sinister has an “anybody fucks with his family, I will personally destroy you” rule, which is why Mohawk is not an active threat to Debbie).

Retro so badly wants to be BETTER than the variants, and especially Mark, on some metric.

This has led to Retro intentionally invading Mark’s life and crossing MAJOR lines. Retro is currently taking classes at Upstate and is a model student. Studying dentistry. PURELY because he wants to be “better” than Mark in at least one area. He is actively impersonating Mark to do this, and Mark can’t dispute this with the college without outing himself as Invincible.

This makes him an INSUFFERABLE PRICK, and pisses Mark off for obvious reasons, but also because he feels like his friends and family are in danger if they ever BELIEVE that Retro is him.

Day Five: Training Together (Flirtingly)

So it's Retro Mark who fights Rex. And who seems very interested in his lips ~

There's subtle differences between all of them based on different factors such as diet, environment, DNA, etc. For example Retro needs glasses because in his world Viltrumite DNA doesn't overpower Human DNA, so he still inherited poor eyesight from his maternal family. Lensless is the shortest variant at 5'9 because he grew up malnourished (not out of neglect, but out of his parents struggling financially). Omni is the tallest at 6'4 and has blue eyes because Nolan's genes/Viltrumite genes are even stronger in his world. Shiesty has heterochromia, his left eye is blue, his right is brown.

Omni is secretly amazing at pulling pranks. No one ever suspects him. They always end up blaming each other whilst Omni sits in the other room with his cup of tea and his camera, acting like he's soooo busy with his photography when really he's cackling on the inside. Usually they're only done out of retaliation, like he has been wronged in some way, but sometimes he does it just because he saw the opportunity.

Sinister loves cats and if he could get away with it he would just fill the apartments with cats. Omni also likes cats. So sometimes they go on dates together to those cat cafés so they can pet cats and gossip about everyone else.

Shiesty is a dog lover, as is Maskless, Omni and Lensless. But whereas the others like cats or just tolerate them (Maskless just tolerates them), Shiesty hates cats. He's like that one guy from a youtube clip calling a cat a "little mouse thang," and telling it to get away. And then the cat ends up loving him the most and always wanting to be around him.

Speaking of Shiesty, he's from Texas and for the most part doesn't have a strong accent but when he's flirting with or messing with anyone else he lays it on thick.

It comes to a point where the guys all refer to Red Dead Redemption as the Shiesty Simulator. They modded the games to have obnoxious bright yellow outfits to really bring the whole image together.

Lensless experiments with his hair a lot and has fun dying it mad colours. At the moment he's given himself bright blue streaks. He also helps shave Mohawk's head and any time the guys need help with their hair he's the one they ask, because he's weirdly really good at hair.

Sinister and Markus do taxidermy together (because it fulfills Sinister's love for gore, violence and art, and Markus' love for science) and it's common to find the two working in the basement, discussing chemicals, muscle tissue and other fun, horrific things. Mohawk calls them a pair of extremely fucked up nerds.

Mohawk, Shiesty and Maskless all enjoy playing music together (Shiesty does bass, Mohawk drums and Maskless guitar). Maskless has the best singing voice but he gets nervous about singing in front of others.

Retro is autistic and his fixation is the Metro series. He's also super fixated on murder mysteries, puzzles and riddles, and because he's so invested in puzzles he tends to just completely gloss over any scares in horror games. Both he and Shiesty sit there stone faced at horror games whilst even Sinister flinches at a few jump scares.

Retro stims by hand flapping and rocking. His Nolan was the most verbally and emotionally abusive, constantly calling him out for his "strange" behaviour, mocking him, calling him a disappointment and belittling him. It's come to a point where even someone passing a small comment about his stimming, his flat affect or his fixations, he'll shut down completely. Omni feels the most protective of him so he'll always step in if anyone says anything that upsets him.
