Renewable energy advocacy group reveals that carbon emissions could be slashed through the use of efficient household electrical appliances.
The paper Zero Carbon Australia Building Plan published by the Melbourne Energy Institute and Beyond Zero Emmisions claims that household emissions could be reduced by 53%, and commercial properties by 44% by 2023. Commercial and residential properties account for over 25% of Australia's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Changes include lighting upgrades, energy monitoring systems, and better shading/insulation.
