Of course! So you will obviously need to download reshade v3 I really recommended watching this video if you’re struggling with this part, it helped me!
First download the zip file from here and unzip it! Inside there will be a file called “simemi’s reshade”, with this file you need to put it into ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin’.
Then load up your game, open the reshade menu when it’s finished loading (shift+f2 i believe) and choose my preset from the drop down menu :-)
hello! this might be a dumb question, but which version of reshade is your preset supposed to be used with? and do we need to download any additional shaders?
Actually, I’m the dumb one! I absolutely forgot to add any info on the reshade version or additional shaders, sorry for that! I use reshade 4.6, installed it with all the recommended shader packs (which include quint, pirate, otisfx shaders that I used in my presets!)
Hello! I downloaded your reshade, and it looks great. However, the screen keeps flashing blue for a split second (and it shows up in the recording). Do you happen to know what might cause that? tysm, i love your work.
Thanks so much anon! Is the flashing constant? Or is it a one time thing? Is the entire screen blue or is it the meshes in game that are flashing? You can try uncheking shaders one by one to see which one is causing you trouble!
Does the reshade you use work well for kinda crappy computers? And if it doesn't do you know of any reshades that might? I really want a reshade lol.
It should! I’ve only tested it on my lil laptop and it works really well. It isn’t a huuuuge preset either it only really changes the brightness, sharpness and vibrance. You can also turn it off when you’re playing and then easily turn it back on again for screenshots :-)

How do you open the reshade in game?
When you’re all loaded up in the game i believe you press shift & f2 on your keyboard and a little menu will pop up. There will be a drop down menu and my preset should be there for you to choose
I can't get that menu to pop down. I'm positive I put the reshade file in the right place.
Are you referring to the drop down menu or the actual reshade menu?
If you mean the menu, this might sound stupid but do you have reshade v3 installed already? If you do, when you’re loading in game there should be a grey box at the top of your screen which basically shows reshade loading too. When that grey box disappears and the game is fully loaded on the main screen you should be able to open it then.
im thinking of getting reshade, but is taking screenshots the same with it? like if you press c will the screens you take have the reshade preset on them?
unfortunately not! to take screenshots with the reshade preset you will have to “printscreen” instead. it’s not too big of a change and there should be an option in the reshade menu to choose where you want the screenshots to go to! I just chose a folder in my D drive rather than clogging up my Sims folders!
