American photographer Kitia Pavlovsky captured a photo of a snow leopard at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters, she mentioned on her website. She took the picture of the snow leopard on October 8. She said that she followed the footprints of the snow leopard at an altitude of 5,164 meters. She left Gorakhshep at 4 am to capture the snow leopard. The Peepal tree has such a position and exalted status in the Indian subcontinent that even the biological species description of the tree (as per Wikipedia) is “Ficus religiosa or sacred fig”, a species of fig native to the Indian subcontinent, including Nepal & Indochina. It belongs to the Moraceae, the fig or mulberry family. It is also known as the bodhi tree, pippala tree, peepul tree, peepal tree, or Ashwattha tree (in India and Nepal).
