âNone of that now.â Â He smiled, gesturing with two fingers for them to straighten up. Â âIâm sure you hold more divinity than I do. Â Youâre the Successor, Iâm just the grandson of our Creator.â Â The hand was turned and held out to Apath along with a jerk of his head. Â Human guise for the moment, but it wouldnât last long. Â Thereâd be no point as soon as they stepped foot in Duat. Â Apath had seen his face, his true face, there wasnât much point hiding it from them.
Anubis looked away for a few moments, focusing on... something out of view. A few words, an entirely dead language outside of Duat, and the air itself cracked open. Â A puff of a warm breeze could be felt slipping through the gap heâd made, and Anubis looked delighted at the prospect of going home. Â
âAfter you my dear. Â Duat recognises you, sheâll allow you entrance.â Â Theyâd find themselves in the same place as last time, just by Anubisâ favourite resting place.
@resdivinae
Most everyone still seemed to be asleep so it was actually best to do this now before more woke up and scared him off it. He lightly tapped Apath's shoulder pointing to the kitchen. âCould- can we speak for a moment?â
@resdivinae
This was...
From the moment he hopped into it, the undeniable presence of power told him this was not a place normal mortals to tread. A place of where the holy resided... A garden where powerful flowers would one day blossom... And here he was trespassing.
Yeah thatâs not good.
He noticeably tenses when someone, who appeared human, approached him. Was he trouble? Was he about to get chewed out? He bites his lip a moment before quickly speaking, eyes now glancing toward the floor.
âI-Is this... Your heaven...?â
âP-Please forgive my trespassing if so!â
@resdivinae
. . . . . . . .
Just. Slowly. Ever so slowly. Rubs his noodle off on their face. Ew.

Hi there. Nameâs Joel. Recent escapee of a nightmare game that made me a god. Howâs your lives been going?
@resdivinaeÂ
â .. oh. Oh dear. â
Brahm could see the reason he had sent him now - Apath didnât look well. They werenât even in the right condition to talk. The Torkoal wanted to say something to try to brighten them up, but he had no clue what ailed them, or what caused them such immense pain. The only thing the Torkoal COULDÂ do was move just a little closer to Apath and settle down on the floor near them.
They made sure to direct their spine just a tad bit away from Apath, to cut off the circulation of his smoke from them. He didnât want them choking on the burning coal inside of his shell.
â I. . Understand if you do not wish to talk. But I will be here in case you want to. Or if you need something warm to latch onto. Or if youâd rather I begone, I can depart.â
â°: you're staring up at the stars, looking for me
via - Before my muse disappeared, they gave yours a series of âopen whenâ letters. [âŚ] I ACCEPTINGÂ
   The letter, appearance wise, is just about the same as all the other ones - some on the backs of old forms with sloppy signatures still on them, others on crumpled notepads. This oneâs on a clean sheet of printer paper, with the tiniest little star drawn in its upper corner. The words themselves are a bit⌠well, terrible. Letters mixed up, words scratched out harshly or whited out entirely. Despite all of that, itâs certainly legible, and it reads:
did i ever talk about stargazing with you? i donât remember. feels like we talked about a lot of things but not everything. somehow. which is funny, because youâre going to become everything, eventually. weird to think about still.Â
but yeah. before i left for the journey thing, that was my outlet. my mom was aloan - i know i never mentioned that - and she had a thing for them. think it was something to do with lunala worship. never thought to ask about it. she left behind a bunch of old star charts and a telescope when she passed, though, so that was my thing. put papyrus to bed, sit on the roof until all the stars were gone with her things, then go to bed. usually got an hour in before pap was up. maybe i take so many naps now to catch up on the sleep i missed? ~~psychology~~
i donât do it anymore. never have the time for it. i still know all the constellations, though. never have to worry about getting lost if i cut through the woods at night. so if thatâs why youâre looking, donât worry about it. i knew where i was going. itâs the difference between keeping people safe and keeping nobody safe, you know? if itâs for a spiritual reason, then you can go ahead. iâm not going to tell you i canât be up there. iâm hoping not, because that implies quite a bit. i donât think thatâs the result of this. itâs not my plan. so donât plan on it yourself unless it makes things easier. wish i was better at this. it was easy for papyrus but for you⌠i donât know. maybe if weâre lucky iâm already back and youâre tearing open all of these like a cheat. in which case, regardless of whatâs happened, as judge, i know youâre doing it. stop that. i canât put you in time out from the past. love you apath. and like the rest of these say: donât go looking. please.
- sansp.s. favorite is little dipper. look it up, you can find it.
