Bought a 1984 #macintosh512k 2 weeks ago off of letgo. At that point, it showed signs of life, but wouldn't do anything. After tons of research, opening it up with my dad and Mark (old tech expert and new tech expert) we figured out that it needed a different boot disk, a new starter battery, an external floppy drive hooked up and joints on the logic board soldered. I ordered the boot disk from a website called #rescuemyclassicmac , bought the battery from a battery store 5 minutes from my house, had Mark solder the joints and hooked up one of my oldest external drives to it. After all that, it works beautifully!! Yay! #apple #macintosh (at Ellicott Creek Island Bark Park)
