Reposted from @newyorkbullycrew • Chloe • Today, we spoke to the doctor who’s been handling Chloe’s care. Unfortunately, Chloe’s surgery didn’t go as well as we had hoped. The vet now has to perform a procedure debriding the damaged skin, which means he will remove the damaged tissue from the wound to allow new tissue and skin to grow back properly. Hopefully, the new tissue will help the wound to heal as well. She is going to have to be sedated (no anesthesia) in order to debrief her skin, but we are going to support her through this. He is hospitalized and needs isolation for his lice infestation 🚨Swipe⬅️ Absolutely heartbreaking!  Clarence was abandoned by his owners last year.  They moved away and left him behind.  We are told that they deliberately hit him with their car because he was following it when the were trying to leave. How sad!  All he wanted to do was be with his family and they hurt him!  So for a year, Clarence has lived on the street , crippled.  And now, he is being eaten alive!  This is one of the worst cases of parasite infestation we have ever seen!  He is covered with lice and fleas!  He has sores all over his body, he is starving and his body aches.  His eyes are oozing and he is scared. Melissa was told about him when she was visiting another town and she asked NYBC if we could help save Clarence and another dog, Homer.  Clarence was rushed to the emergency hospital and he will be hospitalized for at least 1 week.  The lice infestation is overwhelming and x-rays, bloodwork are on schedule also. 🙏Please pray for Clarence and his rescue partner Homer.  This kind of abuse and neglect is sinful.
