Obsessing the Workflow
I have been obsessing over my current academic workflow. I am overdoing the use of technology and using far too many apps and programs. I have turned to Evernote for research gathering, overall. Bookends is my reference manager (it is so good for you Mac peeps), and I database with DEVONthink Pro Office. I write in Scrivener (which really is the best thing in history for creating long documents.
I am debating moving away from DEVONthink for a bit to test how compiling information in Evernote (in an non-sync'd local library) and using that as storage for my information that is not notes. Notes will be stored in my Evernote PhD research library that is sync'd. As I take notes on documents I will create links to notes pages in the storage library (the unsync'd library) on the source note page. Streamline!!!!
I am welcome to suggestions...
