42. Are there other, unrelated people whom they considers part of their family? What are their relationships with them?

I’d say he probably considers Sakaki, Lindow and Sakuya as his family. With his mother dead and his father not giving him the time of day until he died, these were the few people that gave him attention. I headcanon Sakaki as the one who taught him most things and babysat Soma for his real father, with the fact that he seems the most comfortable with Sakaki, and the fact that the man was Soma father’s close friend. Lindow and Sakuya are seen as older sibling figures, with how long they’ve been with Soma, their age difference, and always watching out for him.

43. Who is/was the character’s best friend? How did they meet?

I’d say Yuu would be his best friend. He’s told Soma he’d always be there for him and control his anger for Soma. They met during a mission, where he warns Yuu to not be cocky in battle due to a teammate dying right before their eyes because of it.

44. Do they have other close friends?

Kouta, Alisa and Shio. The first two have been his teammate for three years, and have experienced the same problems as he has. They’ve grown to be fond of each other, despite the complications they’ve had before. Shio, on the other hand, is different. To Soma, she’s almost like kin to him, due to her being an Aragami.

45. Do they make friends easily, or do they have trouble getting along with people?

He definitely has trouble getting along with people due to his trust issues and the rumors spread about him. He’s very antisocial and guarded, thus isn’t accustomed to be friendly. In the second game, he’s slightly grown out of this and has a better rep, but usually gets dragged into friendships more so than making them himself.

46. Which do they consider more important: family or friends?

Friends, no doubt about it. Without the friends he has, he would have never gotten a more positive attitude or worldview, or accomplished as much as he has.

3. Describe their posture. Do they carry themselves well or do they slouch?

Dipper doesn’t slouch noticeably, but his posture isn’t what most would call perfect. He hunches his shoulders pretty often.

7. Describe their complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? 

He’s got the kind of skin that burns and doesn’t tan, and he’s got more than his share of scars on his face, arms, and legs, but most of them are from picking scabs and scratching mosquito bites.
