Day 77 of my 100 Days of National Parks photo series celebrating the #centennial of the @nationalparkservice with this shot of a flower in the lava fields of Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho You have to be specifically looking for Craters of the Moon to come across it. Located in the middle of rural Idaho, these expansive and impressive lava fields and cinder cones come alive in the early summer with a dazzling display of small wildflowers. It's a testament to life carving itself a place in even the most inhospitable places, and I'm glad I was lucky enough to stumble upon the bloom a few weeks ago. #nps100 #findyourpark #nationalmonument #cratersofthemoon #idaho #middleofnowhere #summerbloom #wildflowers #sunrise #sunlight #desolation #lifefindsaway #getoutstayout #getoutside #wanderlust #optoutside #repyourpark #exploreeverything #neverstopexploring (at Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve)
