Three lines run and twist and curve into and away from each other before snapping and rebuilding, becoming one and then back into

three lines with split ends and holes and stories of their own

only their own.

I was in a set of three lines, so were you, and so were you.

You and you and the other parts of your old sets of lines

then lining up with me.

When I first realised that I had split away from my original set of lines there was a panic and a cry

There weren't enough lines around me to recomplete the set, but then I looked further and there were too many

And none of my own.

You'd been in a set of too many / You'd been in a set of three

lines

Too many / Not enough

Once you both ran as two lines

you and you realised you ran parallel and chose to embrace the similarity

comparing each other to your own previous sets of lines.

I had accidentally intercepted you and you later on

Subconsciously sensing a parallel I let myself ask if I could run with you both

and you said yes.

Surely I was intruding on something you two had started to create

in which I was inserting myself before anything could actually bloom and turn out to be okay

but you and you said I was allowed to indulge.

Now we're three lines curling and straightening, bending without much notice

so much like what used to be

but now with different hues and our own spin which I could never be more grateful for.

It hurts to express all the feelings I have about you / It pains me so much to know all the good things I think about you

Lines running parallel around an idea I had planted the seed for so long ago.

The worst thing is that I still find myself looking at my old set of three lines

I'm so far away from them but with both of you it feels as if I never left them

That's what makes me terrible.

I don't want to act like I'm projecting

as if I'm ignoring both of your unique beginning/middle/end points which vary so much from my original set

and neglecting who you are as people only to see the whole.

And yet there's the worry of me being right about the connections between you and my old forgotten set of lines

The idea that your positions will force you to crash and burn and recoil

repeating a trilogical cycle.

But for now I'll circle around and follow where you both lead
