Yey, for me this update is actually on a Friday! It's a miracle lol don't know if I'll be able to keep up the streak, but I'll try xD

Much the same to report, I've added a few revised technical things, like making the notification box more centered and well, noticeable lol as well as making the statistics in text more glowing and android-like (I hope lol) which when I update you will see. I've also implemented Replicas' back up battery properly by having a system for it; depending on the choices you make, you may see it ;D

I have been making progress on the writing as well, I have all character introductions done (though not their background profiles for here yet...I will get there eventually!) now I have some more plot-establishing things to write, as well as just setting up the main stuff for chapter one, but I think once I have those things done I will update the demo with just the very beginning of chapter one.

After the initial beginning scenes that you will get in the demo there will be about 7 branching routes from that point onwards for chapter one. So, it's going to be a lot more writing and keeping track of everything. When I get to that point I will let you all know, and maybe I'll ask/put out what way you would like me to continue the updates (I'll elaborate more with the update).

I'm close to introducing some of the other characters as well, and I'm trying to decide where to put the map in the game as well, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there lol I have sort of an idea...but we'll see!

I will get around to posting character portraits, but I was a lot more busy than I thought, and I got distracted actually flehsing out some world-building xD so yes, please bear with me!

And so the technical stuff I have to do will also be updated then, too--easier on me to do it all at the same time.

I have also posted the map of Cogwheel up, so I hope you found it interesting! I think I will put up the characters portraits one by one soon, I just want to flesh out more the information I want to put with each one first :)

Hullo hullo!

I hope everyone has had a nice weekend so far! As I mentioned briefly in the little update, I have now sketched a map, and here it is! I am not the greatest at drawing maps lol so please forgive any imperfections in it! But, I hope it gives you a little idea of the landscape you will be walking within =)

As I go along writing the story there may be new places I conceive, or changes to ones I have already thought of, so the map is not absolutely set in stone, but of course I will inform you of any changes.

As you can see, you now know where you Replicas are at the beginning of the IF—in the Lost Landfill, hehe! And you will see where the main characters are all situated within The Lost as well. But, as of right now, you have only met Wu An, Alex, Romée, and Faith (the child in the story)—during the beginning of Chapter One you will meet the rest of the mains: Charlie, Roman, and Aingeal.

Speaking of the main characters, I will be putting up the portraits I’ve drawn of them at some point here with a bit of info on each (though you can see them in the IF itself as well if you wish), so I hope you enjoy that too =D

Hello again!

Firstly, thank you for those who have decided to follow; I truly hope you enjoy the journey of my IF =) (here is the link again for anyone wanting it: Replica IF Demo)

Second, I will aim to do small updates on here every Friday, but as I have unfortunately caught a cold I am off ill today, the joy, so I thought I would do the update now—but yes, to disclaim, I do have a part-time job, so writing will be done during any free time I get!

Thirdly, onto the little update! I have begun writing the beginning of Chapter One (whoo!) I do not know how long it will take me to write it completely…but we shall see how it goes! I have also been sketching a map to go with the world of Cogwheel—so when I have that all done, I will post it here for all of you to see, as well as putting it somewhere in the IF!

Now onto the finicky technical stuff that I have to complete for the UI, such as:

Centering the header title lol I’ve noticed it’s a little off centre…and well, I cannot unsee it now xD as well as making sure the buttons, the character profile pictures, and symbols are all spaced/sized consistently lol

Adding a function to go back a passage (especially for those who may have chosen a choice accidently…or it was not what you expected and wish to easily return to make another choice)

I need to make my itch.io page much prettier and engaging (I will get around to this!)
