Richardson Claimed His Wife Had Been Insulted by Officer. --- “Richardson said, ‘If I’d a been there I’d a put a knife into every one of you,’ said W. H. Lackey, bailiff’s officer of the First Division Court, aged 67, appearing against T. W. Richardson, charged with assaulting him while in the performance of his duty. Lackey had gone to Richardson’s house at 24 Moscow avenue to execute a write of replevin. According to Richardson’s statement, Lackey insulted his wife. He proceeded to the bailiff’s office and struck him in the eye. The bailiff received a further wound by falling to the floor. The case is proceeding before Judge Winchester this afternoon.
