osint framework or how to find shit out part 1
In short the OSINT framework is a guide to gathering information. You can use it to find locations, usernames, backgrounds, phone numbers, photos... if it’s on the Internet using the framework will help you find it.
We’re going to start out with finding someone’s username and where it’s in use on other sites.
First off, to find a username you can use a tool that will generate options for you based off first, last and middle names.
Let’s try this name generator with Representative Terri Collins of Alabama.
What do we already know that’s readily available?
Possible alternative: Teresa since Terri is a known nickname
Middle name: ? not on Wikipedia
Maiden name: ? also not on Wikipedia
Birth date: Unknown but she moved to Decatur, Alabama in 1982 after getting married. Assuming she was around 22 then she would be around 60 now. Call the year somewhere between 1958-1962.
Birthplace: Birmingham, Alabama
College: University of Alabama
Former profession: VP level at a bank unnamed (we’ll come back to this later)
We’ll use the first and last name familiar to us, guess the birth year as 1960, guess she loves Christianity and Jesus (given her recent bullshit) and let’s see what we get.
Usernames Based on Interests
We know her name is Terri Collins so we can probably eliminate the close to. I suspect Rep Collins doesn’t go by Tessa.
And now we have a list to work off.
Did I warn you this shit can be really tedious? I would recommend opening up a spreadsheet to start tracking your info.
