You have a rare gift for being honest without being brutal, for being supportive yet sagacious, so that when you tell us we are brave and beautiful, we have hope that it is true. You have walked through fire and come out the other side; scorched, but whole. You find joy in the smallest things, and that joy overspills from you. You are a unicorn, friend; you make us believe that magical, impossible things still inhabit the world.
And you have a way with words that leaves me a bit speechless sometimes. I do hope that I can bring the world honesty, joy, and magic and that I can hold a mirror up to it that shows the good things it holds. Because there are good and beautiful things.
In turn, I’ll say that to me you are family. You’re an important part of the comforting quilt that is my found fam. Not only do you help stitch me together when the world gets me a bit crispy, but you help me delight in the good and the silly things that life has to offer. I’m beyond thankful that I get to share this world with you.
