Agent Shepard's in London for a joint investigation with MI6. It's her first time back in the city in a while. She sips at her water.

Eyebrows raise at his comment. Lips twitch before pressing into a thin line. "Agent Hughes, has anyone ever accused you of arrogance?"

    ❛   Oh   —...   I'm really sorry.   ❛     Staring at the receipt tray with a few bills and coins piled upon it, it's becoming increasingly evident to herself that she had no real idea how to make sense of the dollar amounts that came very easily to most other people in this world.    Hesitantly,  she  lifts  her  hand   —   presses  two  little  fingertips  to  the  edge  of  the  tray,    before sliding it across the table and toward the sender.

𝐎𝐇,  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐎𝐍𝐄  𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐒  𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓  𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑.  It  made  a  grin  creep  upon  Loki’s  features;  bemused  by  the  mortal’s  ask.  It  wasn’t  very  often  he  was  approached  for  something  so  JOVIAL,  but  why  not  humour  this  man,  if  only  for  a  moment?  It  bubbled  nothing  but  amusement  from  within  the  God,  for  he  could  always  turn  this  around  if  he  so  pleased—and  that  would  be  even  more  amusing.  Such  was  the  life  of  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑.

“Very  well,  what  have  you  got?”  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄  𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐓  and  to  the  point;  hands  resting  upon  his  hips  as  he  rose  a  brow  to  see  just  what  the  other  wanted  to  show  him.  Patience  ran  THIN  within  his  form—and  it  was  easy  for  that  to  take  over  his  curiosity.  “I  don’t  know  just  how  much  you  know  about  me,  but  I  for  one,  am  not  very  patient.”

a small inquisitive sound escaped from the back of her throat when he entered, lost to reality. pen flew across the paper as she reached the end of a sentence, mouthing along to the words as she wrote, lips pursing for an instant as she struggled to find the correct adjective to describe the exact shade of neve's dress before smoothing out into a grin.
