wide  eyes  trail  over  the  other,  blinking  as  he  registers  the  crimson  staining  her  hands,  her  clothes,  even  her  face  and  hair.  “  lia  …  ?  ”  his  approach  is  cautious,  hands  outstretched  in  an  attempt  to  show  he  was  no  threat  to  her  wellbeing.  “  hey  …  it’s  just  me,  luca.  ”  words  gentle  as  he  reaches  her  side,  brow  furrowing  in  concern  as  he  looks  her  over.  “  are  you  injured  ?  ”  the  answer  should  be  obvious,  given  the  amount  of  blood  covering  her  body,  but  he  was  not  naïve  enough  to  ignore  the  fact  that  this  could  easily  be  another  person’s  blood.  gaze  searches  her  face  for  some  recognition  of  his  words,  concern  only  growing  at  the  disconnected  look  he  finds  there.  “  we  should  get  you  to  the  med  bay.  ”  he  mutters,  fingers  slowly  shifting  to  touch  against  her  arm,  waiting  for  a  moment  or  two  to  gauge  her  reaction  before  attempt  to  shift  her  in  the  direction  of  the  people  who  could  properly  help.

“He didn’t break me.” She lied weakly. “I’m stronger than that.” And normally she was. Normally she would have dumped someone by now. She never let herself get as close as she did with him. But now she’s sitting on the edge of her matters, her bed had become a stranger to her these last few months. She dug her nails into her palms and squeezed her eyes shut, doing her absolute best not to cry again. “Kriff. I hate him.” She lied again.
