I mean... LOOK.  If I could get a TEVA TAN when I lived my summer in Teva sandals and my uncle walks around every summer with a farmer’s tan because he wears the same exact length shirtsleeves, shorts, and socks every day, you CANNOT tell me that Shen Wei would not have some SERIOUSLY FUNKY TAN LINES if he wore the same exact mask in the same exact placement on his face EVERY DAY while outside leading an army.  YOU CAN’T.

You can’t even tell me that his hood would protect him, because LOOK AT THIS NONSENSE:

IT CLEARLY DOESN’T.  And his hood didn’t overhang his face so much in Ye Olde Haixing, so it would have been even worse!

Now.  That being said, we’ve already established that Shen Wei has powers that:

Change his clothes (at least into and out of his BCE getup)

Mend his clothes

Fix his hair

This is the sort of "overthinking" that makes fandom fun. My favorite parts of English class were always the parts that teased out interpretations or conclusions from the source material. The best truths are the truths you already knew, just told in a new/different way. You cared enough about the source material to analyze it it this closely, and I think that's admirable. Plus, you make valid points that I had not considered. And I want someone to give Shen Wei a hug.

I ALWAYS want someone to give Shen Wei a hug, so that is one whole ass mood.  XD  And I’m glad I gave you something new to think about!  ^_^

I've had congee, but never like this.  Clearly, I've got to try it for myself.  Yours looks delicious.  

Thank you!  I know it’s far from the traditional flavors you would find in congee, but I figured... if I’m going to make a chicken stock, I’m going to stick with what I know.  And at least I’ll know I’ll like the stock base this time.  ^_^  And yeah, if you do try it this way, let me know!  My mom is already terribly amused that I’m effectively getting people to make chicken soup.  XD

TBF most congee I've had is super bland and boring, so I approve of this approach.  

I think because you can put like... everything and the kitchen sink in it or nothing at all?  Like, you can literally just make it with water and rice and nothing else if you want.  Which I imagine would be... fairly bland.  But you can doctor it up with like... anything, from what I read.  And given my own background, this was what made the most sense to me to try, so...  ^_^  That’s how I landed here!  ;D
