I had the most humbling experience at work last night. First let me say this... @etal.nyc was on ANOTHER LEVEL. I was in the zone with a packed house with the likes of @cindycrawford and various others of notoriety. At 4:15 am when I shut the music off. Someone came to me and said “No lie, that’s the best set i’ve heard in NY in almost 20 years”. I looked at them and realized it was one of my regulars from Centro-Fly, my Friday residency downtown in 2001. I came closer and told them “I know you from..... “ They hadn’t realized it was me and were in complete shock 😱 that the flashback of their musical journey was inspired by the same individual almost 20 years later. I don’t claim to be anything but a dedicated musician determined to create an experience unique to every situation. One of my favorite quotes is “In time people may forget what you said but they never will forget how you make them feel” #facts I’M honored and humbled to still be able to deliver soul stirring music in way that touches people beneath the surface. Thanks to the Et Al fam for everything tonight. Aisling, Sebastian and the door who took care of all my people.
