Moon nails before I added the night sky.
This was done simply by painting my nails beige and then layering with different coloured polishes (two greys, a white and the original beige) mixed with acetone, using messy strokes of a small brush. When I was done I rubbed off small patches with an acetone soaked brush, and added topcoat.

I painted the whole thing with a narrow nail art brush.
When sticking the bows on, you can stick them right in the wet polish, or you can glue them on after you're done using nail glue.
