James is a professional profreshional.

Backstory:

He used to travel around towns and countries working on Grizzco stations here and there to get by, until he traveled to Inkopolis and got accidentally chosen to be the new agent of the New Squidbeak Splatoon.

James still works in Salmon Run for Grizzco and due to his experience and the obtained skills from agent fighting, he quickly gained a rank among the highest in the town.

He is working hard for his agent missions and the Salmon Run work as he thinks it will improve the lives of others.

James doesn't play ranked as much, since he rather prefers the inherent structure and defined rules of Salmon Run. He is cooperative and helpful towards his teammates, however can become really ugly if someone is going on his nerves to much. Luckly, he can most times keep his cool.

Until the SalmonSquid appeared. Because of his mocking, James is losing his focus way too often and even ends up in angry insult session with him sometimes, which he can also throw towards his own teammates by accident. He really doesn't like this site of him, but the SamonSquid has found this to be his weakness.

Since then James dropped in the ranks of Grizzco. He also hadn't much agent work to do anymore after agent 8 came by. In search of new meaningful work he remembered that the SamonSquid roames through the city sometimes and is a known thief. He's quite a menace to society and also there's quite a high bounty on him from Grizzco. And getting paid to catch an asshole sounds really nice actually.
