in a way im so fucking glad bns is dead but i am sad about its corpse being dragged along in the way it is. unilaterally everyone agrees 45 patch was the best as it let you do the cool combat and team stuff without needing to climb the gear ladder too much. you just had your hongmoon weapon from the start and easy simple upgrades. getting upgrades wasnt super rng and it was fun and manageable, you could get your locked blackram weapon in like a week of playing for an hour or two a day. then we got the gear or p2w treadmill and gold bots and xml edit era and blatant hacking. i truly doubt nc would ever move away from the monetization tho bc its too lucrative and we had whales for so long somehow. i wouldnt mind a pay to play model like ffxiv honestly i just fucking hate that they love p2w so much they had to add fucking ultra true super mega bonus pro max gems so theres another arbitrary stat hole to spend money on. why the fuck do endgame chars have like 2mil hp the inflation and timecreep at the top end is insane. i really really realllllllllly hate games that dont respect your time. i think its just part of getting old and growing up. i dont want to nolife or p2w to just play a fun game with my friends or even solo as i have the past couple of years. i dont care about doing chores in my mmo til i am allowed to play it bc of poor game design. the fact that gear changes your rotation so much is stupid af and the new specs werent necessary at all. the best part of bns is the combat and the art/world so why does this game do everything in its power to not let you engage with that? you cant be in combat freely without doing 200 hours of chores and you cant even look at your slutty char with the cool bg bc this game is plagued by endless fucking menus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really mad that the only non single player game ive ever really loved to play was blade and soul. absolutely fucking apalled at my taste. deeply regret it but the combat and unashamed cheese factor is incomparable to me.
