“Do you really think this is a good idea?” Sirius asked as they walked into the apothecary shop, glancing around. “Honestly, I’m fine. It’s fine.”

Cordelia hesitated for a brief moment before she knocked on Remus’s door, having texted Lily to make sure he was home before she stopped over. He’d left the flat hours earlier, furious, and she’d immediately felt incredibly guilty for her part in the situation. “Hey,” she said when the door opened. “Can we please talk?” She asked before he could say anything.

“I know it sounds crazy, but maybe it’s something we have to consider,” Sirius frowned, running a hand through his hair. “We didn’t suspect Peter in the slightest and look what happened.”

“Oi, you git,” Sirius plopped down on his bed, which Remus had occupied what seemed like hours ago. The marauders had all met at the Potter residence that morning to prepare for New Years Eve festivities, although it hadn’t taken long for preparations to turn into snack binges and epic naps. “You plan on telling me what you’re doing tonight?” @lupinshowl
