“My name is Harry."

Harry's eyes peer into Regulus and it feels like the kid is staring into his soul. If he's correct and this kid does live here, this is a terrible idea. He is not good with kids. "You're meant to say your name now." He says as he bounces between his feet. Even this kid is calling him out on it.

"Right, I'm Regulus."

"You look like Uncle Paddy."

What the fuck is a paddy? It kind of sounds like that nickname Sirius sometimes had written around Sirius' room. Then it clicked; the kid does mean Sirius' nickname, Padfoot. The stupid nickname he and his band of marauders, as they called themselves, came up with. So that means this kid must belong to one of them. Clearly, it is not Sirius. Remus is definitely gay so that's a no. And this kid looks nothing like Peter. That only leaves…

Oh fuck his life. This is James Potter's kid. The hair, the grin, the massive amounts of unused energy radiating off him. Fuck, he needs to get out of here.

Carved into her soul

All the suitors that have been forced Lily's way have never felt right to her so she rejects them all. Her parents rapidly grew tired of her not marrying after a few seasons of being out in society so they arranged a marriage for her, forcing her hand. Panic ensues as this is the opposite of what she wants. She doesn't know what to do or how to react when her childhood best friend suddenly is avoiding her and barely saying anything to her after the news broke out.. Will Lily be able to find happiness in the end and figure out her complex feelings about everything?

or a not-so-slow slow burn between childhood best friends lilylene that is set in the Victorian age but heavily inspired by the Regency era. with sprinkled-in fun tropes like the one-bed trope!!! (WIP: 7/9)
