Some may have seen this as crazy, and maybe it was. But some part of me knew I needed a change. Today, as the whole world itself seems out of control, itās hard to know what to do next. But the best part is, more so than ever, the rule book is changing. Things that I once thought so important are no longer of any consequence. Thereās a void where my busy lifestyle used to be and as I seek to fill it, Iām finding more in the stillness. Maybe Iām not being as āproductiveā as Iād like to be. But maybe, too, that need for productivity is a remnant of another time. Thereās so much to process lately that to expect the same level of output might just be crazy. In that vein, Iām trying to be better at celebrating the small wins. No, I havenāt written the book I want to write or launched the five business ideas Iāve got floating around or gotten incredibly in shape. But Iām working towards those things in small steps. Smaller than I might like, at times, but still. Iāve learned other things in this time, too, like several great new recipes, more about training puppies, and a ton about racism and accountability. None of this was what anyone expected, but I think weāre all coming to terms with the new shift in perspective.
