It was 5pm, and Togami had just finished returning his library books, dropping off an extra credit assignment to his history professor, and making himself a cup of coffee. He sipped the piping hot Luwak cautiously as he left the cafeteria, his gaze focused more on the steaming drink than the hallway. Normally, of course, he would be more attentive, but it had been a long day and he was much too exhausted to give an extra thought to any passing student. It wasn’t long, though, before one claimed his attention by force, spilling their stack of books and nearly spilling his own coffee all over both them and the books. His chest flared with heat as his surprise turned to anger. “Watch it! You’re lucky you didn’t do even more damage than that by not paying attention.” 

Another day, another lunch where each and every one of Shiori’s friends were busy, unable to eat together. Today’s subject of preoccupation was trouble–or rather, the unfortunate messes everyone had somehow gotten themselves into. Natsuko and Emiko had been caught passing notes in class for the fifth time, so they had received detention; Ren was working on some paperwork that she had forgotten to finish before the end of the day; and Togami had been framed by Leon for pulling the fire alarm…so as a result, she was left all by her lonesome in the cafeteria, quietly reading a book. Of course, she didn’t mind sitting by herself–but she had to admit that she was the slightest bit lonely.

Luckily for her, she had been rather hungry for once, and her tiny, cute little homemade bento was already finished. With nothing else to do and most of the lunch hour left to waste, she opened up her book and lost herself in another one of her typical whirlwind romance novels…and as such she didn’t realize that someone had sat down next to her until it was too late, causing her to jump slightly as she spotted another person in the seat next to her. Pale cheeks lit up to a bright pink and she hastily closed her book, brushing some hair behind her ear a bit nervously--she hoped he didn't think she was rude for not noticing him sooner! However, there was something about this boy that seemed familiar to her, even if she didn’t think they had ever met or actually talked before...
