The evil consuming me rn is Lophrin being there after [egg] dies to become a lich.

Not before, Lop would have physically stopped it if he could. But [egg] knew that just as much as Lop did.

So he waits to start the process until Lop is out for an extended period of time for. Some reason idk just yet. And goes to a pre-prepared secret place for it.

Of course, Lop knows [egg], so he can suss it out pretty quickly once he returns and.

There's nothing he can do.

The deed's already done.

Y doesn't look like the type, but he can dance classically with instructions and certainly can enjoy it! X, due to his pedigree, knows and can teach him!

X doesn't know why Y asks to learn, but he goes for it once. And of course Y's shameless about it and X finds he. Well, feels a LOT happier being physically close to someone he cares about like this than he thought he would be.

How do they do this safely?

A witch in their group with the hands of a body-snatching monster! How they got the hands? Heeheehoo!!!

1) Haha no, that's so lame. He's lame, I am NEVER admitting this

2) oh my god what if he rejects me oh that is TERRIFYING nope no I'm not about to let him guess

3) The chances of him liking me back are next to none, but I can still be there for him and make sure he's ok. I'd rather he be safe than with me.

So he becomes almost antagonistic, not meaning to be.

Thing is, Egg's been scared of dying alone ever since his previous life left an impression in his heart (where he was again, a lich who. Oh.;;; ). He's known Lop the longest, but since that's not really a tender relationship...

Guess if Egg can't fix the 'alone' part he's fixing the 'dying' part! Lich pt 2 baybee!

(He has other stuff that makes him choose that, but I'm still debating on how much I wanna do some of it)

Lop of course catches wind that Egg has become functionally immortal, and he's *also* keenly aware of how lonely the guy can get.

And in-city is only more expensive due to obvious demand, but if two people are working together for rent and shit they can almost always afford *something* there too!

And also!!! There's a *lot* better provisions for the homeless!!! It's not a free house for just you yourself, but older buildings owned by the gov that have been sitting unoccupied for a good sec tend to get converted to semi-apartments for homeless folks!

Hostile Architecture hasn't taken too much of a foothold, bc people realized how fucked up that made things in general. At least one city is actively commissioning artists to try and recycle large things that were previously thought to be unrecyclable and integrate them into the architecture of the city!

This after a...sort of equivalent of this world's 'Banksy' (which I'm just using as a way to say 'v famous street artist'), who was a witch, would do similar things overnight and it caused the city to gain some fame for it!

I think in general the population is a decent bit lower here too...

Maybe a program where if someone fucks up handicapped ramps or something and you fix it well you can get reimbursed as a thanks for city improvement?

Concept for witches right now, because they're here: You need two things to be able to do any magic if you're not a mythical being!

1) The ability to channel magic

2) Some kind of conduit that's already been touched by magic ('wand', but much more inclusive! Usually these are leftovers from mythical beings, like a lich's phylactery or a vial of dullahan smoke. Mileage varies depending on the artifact!)

If there's anything like covens, they're usually groups centered around specific artifacts and their use and safekeeping! I am not sure if I want them to officially be covens though;;;

'Witch' is a term used more for those who are part of/related to a group, and a wizard (or some other term) is what they call those who just do their magic thing alone.

The divinities wouldn't want to give people they sometimes send over to punish free range of magic so it's a bit harder to get to here!

He also does programs occasionally for education/income purposes, but he's a little leaner on that for a couple reasons I think?
