On the morning of October 7. About 13 commanders replaced the recruits at the guard posts, fought off dozens of heavily armed terrorists, and protected the young trainees with their bodies. On October 7, Captain Daniel Peretz, the tank commander, did not wait for orders. He and his team, Itay Chen, Tomer Leibovitz, and Matan Angrest, immediately went into battle. Daniel, Itay, and Tomer fell in battle, and Matan returned home after two years in Hamas captivity. The fighters of 'Peretz Tank' are a symbol of a generation that responded without hesitation to defend their homeland.
