Think of your two favourite celebrities. One gets to have one day of happiness with you and goes off happily, the other gets one day of happiness with you and then has to have a shitty rest-of-life. Choose who gets what. You're evil and I don't think I like you any more.  Right, well, my two favourite celebrities would be Matt and Alex.  I want Alex to go off happily after our day together because I think she deserves it after everything that's happened in her life so far.  And I would like to spend my one day of happiness with Matt right at the end of his life, when we're both old, and we can reminisce about the good old days and then his shitty rest-of-life can be stubbing his toe or something before he goes to bed and dies peacefully in his sleep.  

What is your favourite food? Pasta.  I could live on pasta, which is good because I pretty much do. 

What is one tv show or movie that I haven’t watched that you think I should? Um, this is actually quite difficult.  Maybe Bones, do you watch Bones? I really like that show.  

What is your dream job? Alex Kingston's personal costume assistant.  That's a job, right? 

You get a paid-for plane ticket to your destination of choice to stay for two weeks. Where do you go? Maybe Sydney.  I've been there before and loved it, but it's so expensive to fly to.  Although since I've already been there maybe I should go somewhere else in Australia, or possibly New Zealand.  I've never been to New Zealand.   

Three people on Tumblr you’d love to spend time with? Just three? That's cruel.  Um, I'd say Courtney cos she's awesome, and you and Tess because I remember both of you mentioning that you're possibly going to come to the UK this year, so there's a real chance of it actually happening.  But to be honest I'd love to spend time with everyone on my Follow Forever.  

Favourite books that you’d recommend? A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett is still my favourite book of all time.  Um, I know everyone always recs Pride and Prejudice, but it is really good.  And Moll Flanders.  I mean we all love the miniseries for obvious reasons, but the book itself is brilliant as well. I highly recommend it.  

You can choose for your favourite tv show to have everything you ever dreamed of happening come true, or to spend one day with your favourite celebrity. I think I'd go with the TV show.  I'm so awkward I'm not sure how well a day with my favourite celebrity would go!  

One talent you wish you had. I really wish I could sing.  

If you won $50,000 what’s the first thing you’d buy? Plane tickets to go travelling and see all my internet friends.

Surprise—you’re the Doctor. You get to pick anyone, living or dead, as your companion. Who do you choose and why? This is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.  Um, someone smart and capable so they could get me out of the trouble I would inevitably find myself in. Or maybe Matt Smith because the Doctor often ends up kissing the companions and I wouldn't mind that at all!

Tell me about a few of your favorite songs right now. What’s your earworm? I've mostly been listening to Dar Williams and Florence + the Machine recently.  And I just watched Mary Poppins, so songs from that are going to be my earworms for a while!

Who was your first Doctor? Is he your favorite? If not, who is? Nine was my first.  I still love him but Eleven is far and away my favourite.  

What’s one thing you are really passionate about? What’s the appeal—why is it so awesome? TV.  I love TV.  Watching the show, getting drawn into the story, caring about the characters, and then coming online and continuing the experience with other people all around the world as we share thoughts and feelings feels and fanfiction and art.  It annoys me when people put down TV because they experience it differently.  Maybe they just sit in front of the box and flip through the channels without really engaging in anything, but for me it's a hugely involving and communal experience.  And one of the most social things in my life.  

What’s the last really good book you read? Good question.  I feel like most of the books I've read recently have been really bad.  (Finishing the Gillian Key series has become a personal challenge for me, even though they're terrible and make me so angry.  I don't know why I'm doing this to myself.)  But I am currently reading Redshirts by John Scalzi and it's pretty good so far. 

I’m going to be completely self-serving here: what are a few of your favorite DW/RPF fics? Rec me some awesome stuff to read. Any rating. *g* Anything by Pam.  I love everything she writes, but if pushed for actual recs, I'd have to say As imagination bodies forth the form of things unknown and Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes now are my favourites.  Also, Charina, Emma, and Danica are amazing and you can't go wrong with their fics.  And I feel I should mention To Err is Human, which has the distinction of being a fic I love featuring a ship I do not ship at all (Ten/Donna). 

Did you do anything cool for New Years’ or Christmas? The usual - stayed at home, played board games, drank wine, watched the London fireworks on TV.  So cool.  

Tell me about one of your favorite memories. When we went to pick up Tilly from the rescue centre.  The dogs were out in the field and as soon as she saw me she ran over like she recognised me.  The lady there had said that we would need help getting her in the car because she was afraid of new people, but she was instantly comfortable with me and jumped up right beside me with no problems.  It really was like she knew me and had just been waiting for me to come and pick her up.

What’s one thing you really like about yourself? Um, I like to think I'm quite a nice person.  I try to be, anyway.  I want to be kind to other people and I don't like being mean.  

What’s your beverage of choice? Red wine.

What do you hope to do in 2013 that you've never done before?

It had been a boring Saturday night for Matt. A few TV re-runs, line learning for Monday and a film so boring he felt his eyes closing after 5 minutes. At 10:30, the film halfway through and his beer bottle empty, he decided to call it a night. That’s when he heard the apartment door being knocked repeatedly. He went and looked through the door’s peephole, but was met by darkness.

“Who’s there?” he asked the door.

It replied in a slurred female voice he recognised all too well, and realised that it was hair obscuring his vision.

“Matt? Let me in...” the lady said.

He opened the door, and was suddenly knocked to the floor by a sloppy embrace.

He was being kissed by Alex Kingston. The woman he had dreamed of kissing since she first walked on set. Sure, they had kissed before, but all those times she was kissing the Doctor, not Matt Smith. He had fantasized about her dragging him to the floor 100 ways, but not once in those dreams had she been drunk. If he was going to kiss her he wanted her to remember it. Matt pushed her off and stumbled away to the sofa before she could catch him.

“Matt?” she slurred again. He stayed where he was. Wow, he thought, she was drunker than he’d ever seen her. She made no attempt to get up off the floor.

“No. I’m sorry Alex, but I can’t. Not when you’re like this! You’re drunk! You’ve just been on a girls’ night out with Karen right? I can only imagine the spirits she’s filled you with...”

She crawled onto her hands and knees, then got to her wobbly feet.

“But I want you. Matt please.”

He looked at her, the beautiful Alex Kingston, and saw the look in her eyes. A look of desperation and lust, and for one moment he wanted to go to her. Surely it wouldn’t be that bad? He could just --

“No!” He shook himself out of his trance, “You. Are. Drunk.”. His last words were more to stop himself than her.

“I’m not drunk!” she insisted, as she stumbled and steadied herself on the sofa back.

“Okay well maybe just a little. But I want this. Matt - I want to have sex with you. A sexy older woman. Come on, how can you resist?” she winked at him., bending forward to show off her cleavage.

He was standing there for about ten seconds, not saying anything, when he realised his mouth was hanging open. He promptly shut it, and again had to shake his thoughts away. During his silence she had edged closer round the sofa. He put his hands up to stop her.

“Quite easily. I’m sorry Alex but you are drunk, and as much as I would love to have sex with you, it’s not going to happen with you pissed and not thinking straight.”

Her eyes flashed at him and she started to pad her way towards him. Matt felt that he should move, but felt somehow rooted to the spot by an invisible force. She waited until she was a few centimetres from his face before speaking.

“So you do want this? Want me?” she purred.

He found it hard to get his words out. It was hard enough for him not to get a boner with her looking at him like that. He played with his hair to distract himself. She raised her eyebrows at him, waiting for an answer. He lifted up his arm and gently rested his hand on her cheek, fingering at the curls hanging down, inspecting her beautiful face and letting his eyes wander around the spirals protruding from her head. Yes, he wanted this. He wanted this so much, more than words could say. She was everything he wanted, but he couldn’t. He sighed and answered her.

“Of course I do. You’re the sexiest woman in the world. But not like this. You’d regret it tomorrow morning.”

Oh if looks could kill. He could almost see flames in her eyes at his last statement. She put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at him.

“Matthew Smith. I am 100% sure of this. If I wasn’t, why would I have got a taxi here all the way from the other side of Cardiff? Why do you think I even came to Cardiff? I’m not filming for another 2 months!” she said angrily.

“Karen’s birthday.” he replied without a beat. He didn’t want her to be sure of this, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to stop himself.

“Mostly for you.” she pouted.

She grew closer to him. She stood on her tiptoes and he could feel her breathing on his mouth. He tasted the spirits on her breath and finally pulled away from her.

“You don’t mean this. It’s the alcohol talking!” he argued. Her expression suddenly looked sad. She put her hands on his shoulders and stared straight into his eyes.

“I mean this with all my heart. I have wanted this since the first day you walked on set,” her echoing his earlier thoughts made a warmth spread throughout his entire body. “I have waited so long for this, and I know I’m too old for you but I know you feel the same way. Please don’t make me wait any longer.”

He found it so hard to resist her now.

“Alex, I can’t...” he whispered. Now it was her turn to stroke his cheek. He placed his hand over hers and smiled sadly at him.

“Matt, please, I want you.”

When he didn’t reply she tried one last time.

“Please.” she whispered.

The look on her face and the feeling in his stomach pushed him forward.

Fuck it. he thought, and gave in with a groan. He kissed her harder than he had ever kissed anyone before, and when she kissed him back, her hands burying themselves in his hair, he thought he could see fireworks going off around them. He stumbled backwards with her attached to his mouth and backed into his bedroom door, opening it and walking inside. She jumped up and hooked her legs around his waist. She was surprisingly graceful for someone so riddled with alcohol. He refused to let him think about that and let them tumble backwards onto his bed.

They waste no time in undressing each other - it’s like a race to them. She unbuttons his shirt as he pulls her dress over her head and throws it across the room. Soon they are left only in their underwear. They break from kissing to look at each other. He gently reaches round her back and undoes her lacy black bra, releasing her breasts. Then she decides to help him and slides her knickers down her legs and drops them to the floor. He stares at her naked body.

Wow.

He has seen her naked before, when he watched Moll Flanders, but this.... Seeing her gorgeous body in the flesh is 5000 times better than a TV screen image. He looks her up and down multiple times, meticulously taking in every detail of every inch of her body.

She bends down and removes his briefs, then gets on her hands and knees. She crawls up his body until her face is by his again, and slowly begins to lower herself onto his erect member. He stops her again to breath,

“Don’t we need a condom? I don’t have any...”

She shakes her head before saying with a slight pang of sadness,

“I’m almost 50 love. We don’t need one”

He strokes his hand that is not entwined in her masses of hair down the length of her body, before resting it on her hip.

“Well you don’t look a day over 30. Forgive me for making that assumption.”

She smiles and kisses him roughly, her tongue dancing in his mouth, setting alight his entire body. He flips her over and quickly enters her, not being able to wait any longer. Fuck she is so wet already. It has been a long time since he was last with someone, and feels as if he may explode at just the sensation of being inside her. It’s obvious her nerves are on fire too as she grinds against him, moaning at every thrust he makes. He moves his hand from her hips up her body, the other resting on the bed to support him, and traces the edge of her stomach, until he reaches her breasts. He cups one in his hand, it perfectly fitting the shape of his hand, and starts to rub her pert nipple. She reacts promptly and starts to pant in time to his thrusts.

“Fuck, Matt.” she groans against his mouth. He takes his hand off her breast and moves it down to between her legs, rubbing her clit. He can feel he is approaching his climax and attempts to get her to join him, but fails to. He comes with a shout of her name, one that will surely wake the neighbours, and collapses on top of her. He rolls off her and lies on the bed by her side, in silence except for their panting.

She lets out a long breath, ending it with a whispered “Matt...” and snuggling up to him, one arm draped across his chest, her head resting on his shoulder, letting him use her magnitude of curls as a pillow.

“I have waited so long for tonight.” He whispered, “Thank you Alex.”

He looked down at her, expecting a reply, but found her to be fast asleep. So soon after their high-energy romp she had fallen asleep. He guessed it was because of the alcohol in her system, but nevertheless he decided to let her sleep.

He got out of bed and went and got himself a glass of water. When he came back from the kitchen he noticed how beautiful Alex was when she slept, her golden curls surrounding her head like a halo, and her body splayed out on his bed, a sleepy smile on her face. And suddenly, he felt guilty for what he had done that night. She was drunk. Not to mention she was his co worker. Nevermind his feelings for her, or however much he wanted to be with her, she would never want to be with him, a silly little boy with a crush. And he took advantage of her, of a drunk ALex, whom he cared so deeply about. No matter what she had said that night, she didn’t mean it. She couldn’t mean what she’d said about him. It couldn’t be true.

He bent down to pick up his discarded briefs and slipped them on, taking one last look at the sleeping, beautiful Alex Kingston, before returning to the lounge to sleep on the sofa. Picking up his mobile from the coffee table, he rang the first person he could think of. They picked up on the first ring, and from the background noises were still at a nightclub. The bubbly scottish voice he knew all too well answered with a laugh.

“Hello? Matt?”

He took a deep breath before speaking.

“Karen? I’ve done something very bad tonight and I don’t know what to do.”

She sounded worried and her voice dropped.

“Matt are you alright? Tell me what’s happened.”

He considered his words before telling her his story.

“Well you know how Alex left your nightclub absolutely drunk?”

“Yeah...” she replied warily

“Well she’s asleep on my bed. With no clothes on. And I have no idea what the hell I should do.”
