Vibrant azure illuminated the alley at the end of the street. By no means was Shinjuku devoid of glowing neon lights, but the azure... Such a familiar light caught his attention immediately, and Minato had been drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
The door...
The sight was jarring. Unlike the previous doors that he had seen, this one looked like a door to a prison cell.
It wasn’t his. This particular door had to belong to another guest.
Curiosity got the better of him. Minato pulled his hand out of his pocket and held it open in front of him. With some concentration, he willed his key to materialize—a symbol that no matter what, he was always a guest to the Velvet Room—and unlocked the door.
